Antoinette Fargo, President and creative director of the Antoinette brand, is a certified interior designer who has built a colorful foundation of experience based on both her educational and professional accomplishments. Fargo is a proud graduate of the School of Interior Design at California State University Northridge and has pursued additional studies at UCLA’s prestigious School of Design. Informed by more than 17 years of professional design experience, Fargo has developed her flagship company, Antoinette Designs, into the South Coast’s premier interior design firm.
For Fargo, Antoinette Designs is the culmination of more than a decade of hard work, passion, commitment, and perseverance. Since 2000, Fargo has designed, managed, and overseen more than 500 custom residential and commercial projects. Her distinguished background has provided her with foundational experience for the entire design process, including construction administration, project documentation and management, space planning, custom furniture, lighting design, and 3D rendering.
According to Fargo, “A space must look good, it must feel good, and most of all, it must work well for everyone in it,” balancing the delicate dynamic between design and functionality. Fargo believes strongly in lifelong learning and connection within the interior design industry. That is why she is an active member of the following professional organizations: ● American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) ● National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) ● International Interior Design Association (IIDA) ● United States Green Building Council (USGBC) ● Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)
To say that Fargo is drawn to design would be an understatement; design has clearly always been an extension of her self-expression. As a child, she refurbished anything she could get her hands on, and rearranged furniture to create better use of space and room functionality. Today she brings that passion with her into growing and developing Antoinette Designs. Fargo's goal as President and Lead Designer is to help create a space that is as unique and exceptional as each of her clients.
Fargo’s latest venture is a combination design house and home decor showroom called Doora. Located in the iconic former home of Urban Outfitters just two blocks from the Ventura waterfront, Doora offers design services, furnishings, and accessories in a high-end, concierge, “gallery” setting, with the focus on customer relationships and community. This venture will revolutionize the home buying, remodel, and moving process for families across the country combining properties, design, furniture, and community with cohesive fluidity.
Fargo lives in Oxnard, California and loves to entertain. She is an avid cook, foodie, and oenophile who collects and enjoys wine with family and friends. She pursues a healthy and active lifestyle, and you can find her on Sundays doing “Yoga by the Sea” and perusing the local farmers market in Channel Islands. Fargo loves to travel, allowing her to expand her knowledge of architecture, music, art, and culture.
